Summer Music Series

Dear Street Performer:

The Main Street Community Development Corporation (CDC) will offer opportunities for performers from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This year we will feature bands on Saturdays at 2:00 PM and singer songwriters, duos, magicians, living sculpture and the like on Fridays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

We pay an honorarium of $50 for a single or duo and $100 for a band with percussion. You can secure tips... some make out better than others. We pay at the end of the night at 204 Bridge Street. We give you a check. Always remember to pick up your check that night.

Once you sign up I will confirm the dates that you will be able to perform. If you want to just show your availability and tell me how many dates you want to play and let me pick, that is fine too.

Please choose your dates carefully. Make a record of the dates you seek to perform.

Main Stage will go on at 7:30 again this year. People requesting to play only on the main stage will have limited options and may not be a part of the festivities. I am not sure how many local bands we will have on the main stage. I do try to rotate the local bands for the Main Stage and the more uncommon the act the better your chance of playing on the Main Stage. In most cases, we try not to repeat too many local bands on the main stage from year to year. I like to give everyone a chance.

The Music Series is always a loose set up... because sometimes people cancel at the last minute; I try to assign spaces right about at show time. Usually set up is about between 5 and 6 and I normally know if people are going to cancel by 3 PM. You can get here early to set up. Do not assume because you set up somewhere one time that you set up there all the time.
